Jamie was a member of the Illinois State Gymnastic Championship and Record Breaking Team and was an Elite All American Gymnast. He received a B.S. in Kinesiology at the University of New Hampshire where he was a Div 1 NCAA diver. Jamie is a MA Licensed Nationally Certified Athletic Trainer and has earned an MBA. He has thoroughly enjoyed working with kids and teaching/coaching gymnastics since the early 90’s.
Eric has vast experience in gymnastics and wrestling, including 4 yrs as a Div 1 athlete at Northern Illinois University and was the Illinois Gymnastic Conference Champion. His enthusiastic love for teaching/coaching kids evolved while completing his degree in Phys Ed., coaching at summer camps & local kids athletic clubs, teaching tumbling at the IL Motor Development Research Lab, and leading his church youth group.
Melissa has been involved in the sport of gymnastics for most of her life. During that time frame she has done it all; coached, instructed, managed, directed, etc. Her lifelong passions have always been figure skating and gymnastics. Little known fact: she competed against Nancy Kerrigan when she was 6 yrs old, and won. She earned her BA in Psychology from Regis College and her MEd in Curriculum and Instruction from UMASS Lowell, after which she taught in the public school system. Melissa is married with four children, of whom 2 compete on the GAB Team.
Gymnastic Instructor / Team Coach
Rebecca loves fitness, through and through. Along with gymnastics, she is also a Crossfit L1 trainer and enjoys distance races such as the Spartan Race and Tough Mudder. After competing heavily in gymnastics throughout her childhood she attended Cornell University where she received her BS. After working in engineering 6 yrs she has fully transitioned back into the sport of her youth. She loves working with kids and helping them excel athletically and is excited to start her new adventure here at GAB.
Tracy has come to us from the great US Olympic Gymnastics State of Wisconsin where she was a member of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Women’s Gymnastic Team, and received her BS in Health & Human Performance with an emphasis in Recreation. She has vast experience teaching gymnastics from the youngest recreational athletes up to the collegiate level. She loves working with kids and is the proud mother of Ellie, one of our 1 yr old gymnasts here at GAB.
Mary has spent most of her life in cheerleading/gymnastics and professional dance training. After earning her Teaching Certification in Early Childhood Education at Mount Wachusett Community College, she went on to teach Pre-school and Kindergarten classes. GAB allows her to combine her appreciation for dance and gymnastics with her love of teaching children.
Robert grew up in Acton and recently retired from serving our country in the Army Reserves. He loves teaching kids and is very passionate about teaching them gymnastics & parkour. In his off-time he enjoys playing soccer, going to the beach, and is working towards a degree in Kinesiology. Robert is bilingual in English and Mandarin
Morgana began gymnastics at a young age when her parents couldn’t keep her from climbing every bookcase and piece of furniture in the house. She quickly fell in love with the sport and trained at various gyms in upstate New York until. During high school, she added swimming & diving to her athletic portfolio. She is enthusiastic and thrilled to be sharing her childhood joy with her students.
Melissa has been coaching gymnastics and cheer for 8 years. She has spent most of her life investing in children, whether it was as a church children’s director or the Girls Scouts. She has come to GAB in order to combine her appreciation for gymnastics with her love of teaching and coaching children. She looks forward to enthusiastically helping her students achieve their gymnastic goals.
Dev comes with enthusiasm and lots of energy. He loves educating kids, which is why he currently attends Framingham State University where he is studying to be an Elementary school teacher. His goal is to be a third grade teacher and has worked as a student teacher right here in Acton. In his free time, Dev likes to draw/sketch, hike, read a good book, and spend quality time with his three dogs; he is also a hairdresser on the side.
Alisa has been involved in gymnastics at GAB for most of her life, as a competitive athlete, coach and manager. With over 15 years of experience she brings expertise and maturity to our weekend staff. Alisa received her B.S. in Exercise Physiology from Fitchburg State University and also works as a clinician at HealthSouth.
Kristen has been involved in gymnastics her entire life, both as an athlete and coach. She comes to GAB with passion to teach children of all ages and wants to teach them how to love, engage, and excel in the sport. Kristen attended Northern Essex Community College where she earned her Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology. She loves teaching children of all ages and helping the children at GAB grow and succeed.
Christine is a Certified Personal Trainer and has been involved in athletics all her life. She was a sprinter for almost 20 years, and competed, trained and taught in the highest levels of dressage. For the past 13 years she has been coaching Track & Field to kids of all ages. Christine has a Master of Science from the Technical University Darmstadt, Germany, and is bilingual in German and English. She is excited to lend her many years of teaching and coaching kids to us here at GAB.
