Meet the Cambridge Gymnastics Staff

We know that the quality of the instructors makes a difference in your child’s experience with gymnastics. Over the years we have interviewed dozens of highly-qualified, energetic and patient instructors, and have hand selected only the finest we have seen. We are confident that your child will look forward to spending time with all of our instructors at any level! Jessi Beaton-Hellman

(Program Director and Head Team Coach)

Jessi grew up in Cambridge and is even a former GABC team member!!! She has been a coach at GAB since 2012 making it a total of 9 years at GABC! Jessi is a certified USAG instructor and Head Team Coach. She considers her strengths in coaching adapting to each individuals learning styles for their to reach their peak potential.

Alexis Boudreau

(Stars Coach)

Alexis has been doing gymnastics in our recreational program since the age of 3, and has been at GABC for almost 12 years! Alexis started volunteering as a coach in training at GABC in 2014, and has developed a love for teaching! Alexis is a USA Gymnastics certified instructor and has her U101 Certification from USA Gymnastics. She loves working with the girls in the stars program and encourages them to work to their full potential. Alexis is currently in high school at Lexington High School hopes to pursue a career in sports medicine and wants continue her education in coaching and gymnastics as well.

Alex Fernandez

(Stars Coach)

Alex comes to us after being part of Puerto Rico’s National Gymnastics Team where she was able to compete in national and international championships. She believes that gymnastics has shown her what perseverance, teamwork and mostly, discipline, are. This sport has shaped her to be the person she is now by helped me transforming her into the strong, patient, empathetic, perseverant woman she is today. This gave her the keys on how to prepare her students to not only to be better gymnasts everyday, but also future leaders who never give up.

Jevonn Brogna

Jevonn used to attend GABC when he was younger before he moved into the world of dance. He received medals at the hip hop internationals in Las Vegas in 2008, 2009, and 2010!  Before coming to coach here he was teaching dance. You can often find him flipping around or choreographing.

Julia Jacobs

Julia began gymnastics at the age of 2 while growing up in Newton. She began with recreational classes and then started competing at the age of 7, continuing to compete until she entered high school at 14. She attended high school in Cambridge at BB&N, and began coaching gymnastics soon after when she turned 15. She is currently majoring in Psychology at Harvard Extension School, and is planning to transfer to a full time university in the Boston area to continue her education.

Megan Hall

Megan has grown up in Arlington doing competitive cheer and training in dance for 16 years. Megan is taking a gap year to continue her passion for dance before attending college to pursue a major in education. Megan has always been eager to work with kids. She began as a CIT at summer camps and a teacher-assistant to her high school dance teachers. She now is a patient, caring gymnastics coach and dance teacher who believes in helping each kid learn by instilling self-motivation.

Melissa Grajeda

Melissa is another Cambridge native and has been a coach with us for about 3 years. She just graduated from Lesley University with a major in Graphic Design. Now she is planning to attend graduate school to get masters in education. She is currently a member of Lesley’s cheerleading team. She loves coaching all the beginner recreational classes such as Tumble Tots and Acro Kats.

Michele Fry

(Preschool Coordinator and Team Coach)

Michele is excited to get back into coaching the sport she loves after a 14 year hiatus! Formerly a competitive gymnast in New Jersey, Michele has twenty years of coaching experience. She coached many regional and NJ state champions in levels 6-10 before moving to Massachusetts. Michele was also an elementary school teacher with a MEd in elementary education before taking time off to stay home with her four young children. All four of her children are gymnasts at GABC!

Savanna Scott

Savanna started gymnastics before she was even in pre-school and absolutely fell in love with it, being upside down was her favorite thing in the world. She went on to join competitive gymnastics, and competed up to USAG Junior Olympic level 7. Gymnastics has always been an amazing part of her life, and she loves getting to share that excitement and experience with the kids that she coaches.

Sydney Cicero

(Birthday and Weekend Coordinator)

Sydney is another coach who used to attend GABC, and also participated on the CRLS gymnastics team from 2012-2015. She has worked at GABC as a coach for 4 years. She is currently pursuing a biology degree at UMass Boston, and plans on pursuing a career in life science education in the future. Her favorite event is floor, and her favorite skill is a front tuck.
